The Hopi Indians are a native American tribe who live in the South west of the United States. They’re located in Arizona somewhere near the end of black mesa and their reservation is part of the Grand Canyon. They live on top of mesas in small villages called pueblos. Pueblos is the term used to refer to their dwellings that resemble primitive apartment complexes made of mud and stone. These stand several floors high. The pueblo at the third mesa, the ‘oraibi’ has been constantly inhabited since 1050AD and is supposedly one of the oldest inhabited villages in the world.
Where do the Hopi Indians come from?
The Hopi people are a native indigenous American tribe who are direct descendants of the pueblo cultures. These pueblo tribes existed a long while ago and are famous for their trademark pueblos in Arizona and New Mexico. These are series of stone and mud houses constructed almost like apartment complexes. The Hopi people currently reside in the Hopi Reserve, surrounded by the Navajo Reserve.
What’s so special about the Hopi People?
The Hopi Indians have partially integrated into mainstream society, but there’s still a significant portion of Hopi who lead traditional lives. The ones who’ve mixed with the general population send their children to school, are generally educated and work skilled and unskilled jobs. The Oraibi tribe lives in the oldest continually inhabited pueblo inside the United States. Nothing much is known about the Hopi or their specific history before 1540. All Pueblo history stems from Spanish records dating from 1540 when they made first contact with the pueblos.

Prophecies linked to the Hopi People.
The Hopi Indians are known for many prophecies, but the most popular one they’re known for is the Blue Star prophecy. In Hopi Language, the blue star refers to the Sirius star. Hopi legend has it that the Blue star Kachina will soon remove its mask, dance and thus herald the end of this age as we know it. Nobody exactly knows what this is meant to signify, but it is commonly agreed that the prophecy refers to a new world war and destruction of the world as we know it.
Significance of the Hopi prophecies.
Apart from being direct descendants of an ancient culture, the Hopi Indians also retain most of their original folklore in almost intact form. This is passed on from generation to generation through a set of inscriptions in their mesas and songs meant to match them. One cannot immediately believe whatever is quoted in folklore, but the Hopi have a tradition of certain songs being sung before catastrophic global events. They were sung before the First World War and the second too.
Should we be worried?
There are all kinds of prophecies arising from legends in different tribes and cultures at all times. It’s just hard to separate fact from fiction in these situations. However, the Hopi people have specific patterns and drawings that seem to correlate with recent global events. Overall, it increasingly looks like the Hopi Indians really did get it right this time.
